𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵! We hope to see folks out and about the neighborhood celebrating. Below are a handful of events (definitely not a comprehensive list!) happening hyper locally and beyond the neighborhood.

Down the road from Wild Hand, Johnson House Historic Site () will host its 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 from 12PM-7PM along the 6300 black of Germantown Avenue. This free, family-friendly summer celebration honors Culture, Heritage, and Ancestry, commemorating Juneteenth through live music, historic re-enactments, children’s activities, panel discussions, food trucks, and community engagement. Rooted in one of the most significant Underground Railroad sites in the nation, the festival connects freedom history to contemporary culture in the heart of Northwest Philadelphia.
Head over to Chestnut Hill and join the for 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵, an afternoon of art, storytelling, music, and community honoring Black history, culture, and joy on Friday 6/19 2-4 pm. This is a ticketed family-friendly event with activities exploring themes of freedom, legacy, and self-expression as well as performances by students from local schools, including the DC DIAMONDS Step Team, and storytelling, poetry, music, and dance with Mama Nzinga.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 & 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 () is the nation's largest Juneteenth festival and takes place on Sunday 6/21 from 12PM-8PM. There will be live music, youth pavilion, health wellness zone, food truck row, and more!
If you're up for venturing outside the city, Wild Hand friend 𝗩𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗳𝗳 () will be performing in Phoenixville Friday 6/19 at 7PM!
