🍒🍒 Ground Cherries! 🍒🍒
Ground Cherries are a new addition to our gardens this year. These unique little fruits have a sweet taste, somewhat like a pineapple, and grow in a husk similar to a tomatillo. When the husk is brown/yellow and it falls to the ground it is ready to eat. This sweet, yellow fruit is delicious eaten fresh, on a salad, or in desserts. Don't eat them green though because they are mildly toxic before they ripen!
