postcards from the PNW 🗻🌲🌞

we spent a couple weeks of summer up north with my family. it was Ollie’s first time on an airplane— given his medical needs, it took months of planning to get everything in order for it. arranging with the airline, TSA, his DME companies. our days of travel were exhausting. but it was SO worth it.

the weather, being outdoors, spending time with my family & watching my parents be so excited to have Ollie in their own place after almost 3 years— everything felt worth all the work it took.

we’ve since had a little more travel & are still winding down from being away. getting back into routines, which feels bittersweet. I hope summers in the PNW are something we’ll be able to look forward to again.

Ollie’s bath time routine with House of Noa 🛁 |

I’m going to miss this routine as he grows up 🥹 I don’t know if everyone’s evening routines are as peaceful as this— but we love bath time over here (especially Ollie) 😆🙌🏼 early evening always casts the best light in this room, and there’s lots of splashing and bubbles involved. since we spend a lot of time here, our House of Noa bath mat is an important feature for a smoother evening routine. with a cushioned liner underneath, it’s soft & comfortable on your knees, and easy to pick right up and run through the wash when needed.

this converted patio turned sunroom felt off and I decided it had to start with changing the floors! the previous tile was honestly not horrendous, but it did feel just really cold underfoot and also not as warm & inviting as I would’ve liked. once we decided this space was going to be our home office, it definitely motivated me to transform them!

I followed Abby Kulp DIY | DESIGN ’s tile project that she did on a smaller scale in her laundry room! for a room of this size, it was probably one of the most tedious projects I’ve ever done, but I got through lots of episodes of Love is Blind during it 😂 I’m planning to make a How It’s Held Up video on this soon, but in the meantime, let me know your thoughts & any questions you have! 👇🏼〰️
