It’s been a busy summer around here. There has been a lot of gardening and knitting and reading! 🤓🤓🤓

I also finally finished my by and I love it! Now, I just have to wait a few months for the temperature to drop below 100!

Oh, and while we aren’t dyeing yarn right now, I have gotten several requests for our and bases, so I’ve listed them on the website undeyed. 🎉 Orders still ship next business day.

Hi Friends! I know it's been a bit quiet on this end and just wanted to check in! 💕✨

Matt and I decided to visit a neighborhood bar () we haven’t been to in years!🍹🧶

There's something magical about knitting under the soft glow of the bar's ambient lights, the hum of conversation in the background, the clink of glasses adding rhythm to each stitch.💕☺️

I'm making progress on the (by ) I've been working on – it's really starting to take shape now! I promise I’ll share more once I get to the sleeves!

Hi friends! 💕🎉💕

We've finally finished processing the last of our wholesale and retail orders and we are in the process of getting things back in order around here! Thank you so much for your patience as we've been a little quiet for a few weeks!

The good news is that we have rounded up the last of our available inventory and created one last round of our fan-favorite grab bags, which are available now!

In the past, our grab bags have been seconds, retired colorways, or one offs from our dyeing process, but as luck would have it, almost all of the skeins in this round are retail-ready skeins that just haven't found a home yet! We've decided to make these available at a deep discount in order to clear the shelves and I know these will go quick!

Thank you so much to everyone who shopped our update last night! I’m blown away by the level of support and we are so grateful for all of the stories and shares. My heart is full. ❤️🥰❤️

That said, we still have plenty of gorgeous yarn available, including 14 skeins of Alchemy of Herbs (seen here) on Paloma! I’m not sure how these made it, but I have a feeling they’ll be gone soon after this post. 😆

There’s one day left until our farewell shop update!!! (Tomorrow at 5pm MST!)

We also released our last Special Edition colorway called “Less is More” to our newsletter subscribers yesterday, and while the DK is already sold out, we do have a few skeins of fi*****ng weight left on our Paloma base saved for those who didn’t get our newsletter!

Don’t worry if you miss out on this colorway though! We will have hundreds of skeins to choose from in our shop update tomorrow, and you’ll also have one last chance to order a custom sweater quantity in any available base before we take that option down from our website.

We can’t thank you enough for all of your support, and we’re super excited to kick off this farewell party with you! 🤗💕🎉

I just wanted to pop in and remind you that our last major shop update is scheduled for this Friday at 5pm!!!

This will be the last opportunity to purchase our mainstay colorways. Also, we will be closing our custom Sweater Quantity orders at the end of February, so if there is something you need or want, we are nearing last call.

I personally selected all of the colorways in this update and we will have hundreds of ready-to-ship skeins available!🤗

If you’re subscribed to our newsletter (sign up link in bio), you’ll get early access to pre-purchase a special, limited edition colorway tomorrow while supplies last! Keep an eye out!

Our latest collab is the Travel Sweater, designed by ! This gorgeous design is a DK weight, drop-shoulder construction sweater, worked from the top-down. Suri held together with the main DK yarn adds a bit of comfy-coziness and subtle texture to the upper body. The Travel Sweater features a double thickness
collar and (two-color) Fisherman’s Rib cuffs and is adorned with special details such as a lateral braid and a simple cable at the top of the sleeves.

We currently have kits available for pre-order (2-3 week turnaround) on our website (link in bio) in the original (Loam MC/CC2 on DK and Horseshoe Bend on Suri) as well as a custom option if you’d prefer to pick your own colorways. 💜🤗

Hi everyone! We have some announcements!

✨Sometimes you just know it's time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings...✨

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that after almost 6 years of running Traveling Yarn full time, we will be drastically scaling down all parts of our business.

Between supply chain issues, some health concerns in the family, and also some exciting new opportunities, we have come to the hard decision that scaling back is the right move for us.

Don't worry! We won't be closing up shop overnight. We have a shop update coming on February 17th and we are committed to continuing our Less Traveled Yarn Club through June. We will also be releasing a commemorative colorway that will be available for pre-order in February! We may also have some small, periodic shop updates a couple times a year, which will be announced to our newsletter subscribers first (sign-up link in bio). We will also continue a presence here on Instagram, sharing updates, , and some of our favorite things.

We are so incredibly grateful to each of you who have tirelessly supported us during the past several years! From our loyal Club subscribers, to those of you eagerly surfing our (almost) monthly shop updates, to those who would seek our yarns out at your LYS, and those who we've met in person at shows; you have been our rockstars and we quite literally could NOT have done this without you! 🤗
