I’ve been doing these graduation leis since 2015. That’s 11 years of doing them. It started with money cakes but I converged to money leis then ribbon leis and I eventually did money bouquets also. (And I’m not even mentioning the diaper cakes since 2014.)

I’m so grateful to all those who have supported me over the years. I truly do love making them and I actually believe I was one of the firsts in the valley to start them. I’m not saying I was the first but one of. Now they’re everywhere. My mom just sent me a pic of someone selling the ribbon leis for $35 at the Mercado. But anyway. All this to say. Those people can do a bunch and it’s easier for them to sell. I, in turn have to do things slowly and in parts. So when I ask for money early, it’s because of that. My body is not equipped to move quickly or for long periods of time. This week my body has flared. It’s because many times I have to do things standing up for a better position or whatever the reason. In turn my low back, hips, and legs then act up. As a lot of you know I had a major spine fusion in 2021. My body is acting up now and I need to rest for a couple days. This will only affect those whose due date is early next week not the week after. I just need a day or two to just sit on the couch and veg (pronounced “vej”).

Thank you so much to those who order from me. I know you have other options but to order from me is personal. I love to be a part of your lives. When you have pictures or the actual ribbon leis I made as a memory you can look at that when I’m gone from this earth and say, “Leti” made this. So when I’m gone post your pictures ok? No I’m not planning on leaving soon, just thinking out loud since I’m vejjing on the couch.

Confused on lei options? 1)…RIBBON LEIS are more decorative and can be designed with creative money figures as displayed. Some require more bills than others. We can coordinate how to mix and match your design to your need depending on how much you want to gift your graduate.
2)…MONEY LEIS are a little flashy since the whole lei is covered in money pinwheels to give to the graduate. Labor Cost of the money folding is $1/billfold but that’s not the cost of the whole lei. Let’s talk about that in your consultation. Comment which one you’d prefer. As always liking and sharing my posts helps me get the word out.

New item: graduation cap toppers. Order now for your graduation photos! Customized to you. Lmk what you want to see on it.

Here is a closer look of the graduation cap topper. It is sized to the graduation cap. It comes with double sided tape to tape onto the cap. The white flowers are hand quilled (rolled) and sprinkled with glitter then sealed directly onto the topper. The beading was hand placed and sealed along with the letter vinyl to prevent lifting. Finally a delicate butterfly was sealed onto the flowers. Please allow one week for design and one week if I need to mail it to ensure you receive on time. Let me know your thoughts.
