We need to talk about the word “maintenance.”

“Low maintenance” has become the goal, but in most cases, that just means avoiding care now and paying for it later. Would I rather invest in materials worth maintaining… or materials I’ll be replacing?

The best materials require something from you. But in return, they reward you with character, depth, and longevity.

We design for homes that develop, not expire. Don’t be lazy… let’s take care of our homes :)

Today is a big day for us, we’re officially relocating Lenny Interiors to the Midwest! It felt right to share a first look at one of our most personal Phoenix projects, The Artist’s Casita.

My parents had the idea to add on to our family’s property in the historic district. We wanted to create extra space so my parents could spend winters and spring in Phoenix since my dad had just retired. Because it was our own project, I had a little more freedom to push on texture, color, and form than I typically would. We named it The Artist’s Casita as a nod to my mom. All of the artwork in the space is hers, and being part of that as a fifth-generation creative is something that informed the space. She envisioned early mornings in this space, her and a canvas, with the surroundings being a source of inspiration.

As many of you know, my dad passed unexpectedly in May 2025. He was able to visit Phoenix two weeks before he passed and see the casita finished, which I’m so grateful for. This was something we talked about every day for over a year. Even though we didn’t get to utilize our property in it the way we planned (anyone else dream family commune?) this project will always mean a lot to me. It was something we created together and one of my first completed new build projects as Lenny Interiors.

We’ll miss our Phoenix community, but we’re grateful we’ve built Lenny Interiors in a way that allows us to move and be closer to family while still continuing to work nationwide. & cheers to my Dads life, honoring his legacy and spreading his gentle, kind, and generous nature through

More to come, xx

You don’t think about it much until it impacts you, someone you love, or a client. That realization has shifted how we approach design, not just for the longevity of a home, but for the longevity of the people living in it.

We talk about beauty often in design, but not always about what that beauty is made of. What’s behind the walls, what’s within the finishes, what lingers in the air long after installation is complete.

In 2026, we’re thinking more deeply about how homes support the people inside them. Not just visually, but biologically. The materials we choose have a direct impact on sleep, the nervous system, immune health, and long-term wellbeing.

This is where thoughtful design evolves into something more intentional. A home that feels beautiful is one thing. A home that actively supports your health is something else entirely. Here’s our practical guide to creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but supportive.

Is this topic of health & toxicity a concept that you would consider when designing & building your home?

When designing a space with a ~beach cottage feel~, it begins with the setting, how the home meets the coast, how it takes in light and air, the smells, the feel. Texture is always a must, nothing too polished or precious, and play is essential.

There’s a lot about working with a designer that people just don’t talk about.

And if it’s your first time building or renovating, it can feel like you’re expected to know things no one ever explained.

So this is just a little insight into how *most* high end interior designers feel about the process, and what tends to lead to the best dynamics for everyone involved.

It should feel exciting to create your dream home, not stressful.

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences🤎🫶🏼

Part three of our most loved series: Our Biggest Controversial Takes as a Luxury Interior Design Firm!

These takes come from experience — designing real homes, navigating real budgets, and watching what actually works once the cameras are gone. They’re rooted in expert direction and shaped by what holds up over time. We aren’t afraid to ruffle feathers… because we believe amazing, intentional, timeless design is hard to find these days!

Let’s get into it!

Our current color fixation: A deep, warm Merlot… not quite plum… not quite burgundy… and not quite brown🤎 A color we built our brand on almost 2 years ago, because we love it so much.
