About Mari & Joe Giddings-Axton-Mixed Media & Sculpture: “In our work together, we make dimensional paintings and mixed media works of art using metals, metallic paints, glass, wood, clay, ink, paper, oxidation, and tarnish. Part of the challenge for us often involves taking inherently unstable, ‘accidental’ materials – such as gold tarnish – and making them stable, archival, and purposeful. Generally, our work studies change, ephemerality, the nature of collaboration, the balance of opposites, the interplay of male and female and the elements of perception.”

About Patty: Patty is a retired behavioral health case manager and a second-generation Phoenician. She and her husband, Jim, have lived in Willo 27 years and have two boxer dogs that keep them pretty busy. Patty is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a sociology degree. As someone who enjoys reading, crafting, and sewing, she made masks during Covid and donated them to Ironwood Cancer Center and care homes for disabled adults. She loves sewing. At her booth, you will find bowl and plate cozies to use when reheating food, colorful dog bandanas, handmade greeting cards, and home decor items.

About Renee: "I started in fused glass during the pandemic... Thank you, fused glass, for keeping me sane during that time. Fused glass is taking varied colored glass and bringing them together, molding it in various shapes: suncatchers, pinwheels, dishes, garden stakes, even clocks. You can often find me at craft shows or in my studio talking about the beauty and durability of fused glass."

About Dan: Daniel Moore is a Phoenix-based metal artist and founder of The Oxide Studio. Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, he earned a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography from the University of Iowa, with minors in Ceramics and Metalwork/Jewelry. Inspired by Ansel Adams' photography and Arizona’s desert landscapes, Moore developed a creative practice rooted in the intersection of nature, design, and craftsmanship.

After being introduced to welding, he taught himself metal fabrication and founded The Oxide Studio in 2010. His work is known for contemporary botanical forms and sculptural installations that blend graphic composition with organic inspiration.

Moore has created commissioned works for residential, commercial, and civic spaces, including sculptures, architectural features, and public art installations. Since 2015, he has focused extensively on public art, with completed projects located throughout Arizona, as well as Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Augusta, Georgia; Henderson, Nevada; and Memphis, Tennessee.

About Tricia: I draw inspiration from my home in the Sonoran Desert—a place of striking contrasts and quiet beauty. The intense heat of the day gives way to cool desert nights, and with each rainstorm, flowers emerge from the dry sand. The desert’s palette—dusty greens, soft blues, warm browns, and muted golds—finds its way into my glazes, while the rugged, ribbed surfaces of cactus influence the textures in my work.

I create functional pottery, with each piece also serving as a work of art. Whether placed on a dining table or displayed alongside other artwork, each piece is designed to be both useful and visually engaging.

Ceramics is a craft I discovered later in life. After retiring, I took a class for fun, hoping it might teach me patience—something I am still working on. I never expected it to become such a passion. I love the feel of clay in my hands and the endless possibilities it offers. And just when I start to feel overly confident, the clay has a way of humbling me and bringing me back to center.

Come check out Tricia's work at the Willo Art Walk and Studio Tour on Saturday, Nov. 7th form 10am-4pm!

Janette Eusebio is a Phoenix-based ceramic artist whose work draws on travel, culture, and the natural world. Grounded in her Filipino heritage and a lifelong curiosity about place, she approaches clay as a way to translate experience into form.
She's drawn to organic shapes, pattern, and surface texture that suggest movement and quiet energy. Working in clay offers a steady, grounding rhythm, one that allows her practice to shift and grow over time.

Janette spent several years in New York City working as a graphic designer before relocating to Phoenix, where she founded Stir Design & Advertising in 2004. Her background in design continues to inform her ceramic practice, bringing a thoughtful approach to form, structure, and process.

About Embla: As a ceramic artist, I use clay to express myself, making functional pieces that can be used to serve coffee, tea, and treats. I want to bring people together at the table to create shared memories. After forming each piece, I sculpt and glaze representations of natural elements inspired by time spent in the woods and around the ocean in Bellingham, Washington where I was born and spent much of my early childhood, as well as several years over the past decade. I also draw from desert themes in Phoenix, Arizona, where I moved later in childhood and where I now live.

I also spend a lot of time creating jewelry out of clay, metals, and will sometimes incorporate beads and glass in my designs. Again, the motive is about bringing people together, which happens by creating unique pieces that often serve as conversation starters.
