We’re at the tomorrow. Summer hours begin so we’ll be there from 9am-2pm. It’s going to be a beautiful spring day in the park!

We’ll have a fresh spring candle harvest, as well a nice selection of wood and metal. Pictured is our 14.5” walnut handled board, which I use as one of my primary cutting boards.

In 2024, we completed a wholesale candle order for Free People.

Shortly after, we were approached by Anthropologie about an order. We declined.

We decided we wanted to sell our candles to small businesses around the country instead. To the local gems, to the corner shops, to the places that bring life and energy to our communities. Choosing to support regional economies rather than mass market retail.

Happy Equinox!

Come celebrate the arrival of Spring with us tomorrow at the from 10-2pm. It should be a beautiful day in the park.

After, I’ll be heading straight back to the shop for our CANDLELIT SALE.

20% OFF all Spring candles, which includes carrot tapers, asparagus tapers, artichokes, meadows pillars, and our new light green and orange taper candles (they’re gorgeous). The sale is from 5-9pm. The room will be filled with the full sensory experience of 100% pure beeswax.

We don’t make fruit and vegetable candles to be cute and kitschy. We make them to celebrate the local harvest, farmers, bees and all that is good in the world. The picture is our asparagus taper in Dorene from asparagus field. There is the expression, “know your farmer.” These relationships have added so much joy to my life.

The local harvest is right around the corner. The light is returning. Come celebrate! Bring friends, bring family.

SPRING EQUINOX CANDLELIT SALE

We’re going to keep rolling with our solstice and equinox events. You can count on something cool at Artifaqt with the change of each season. Next Saturday, March 21st, let’s celebrate the return of light and the arrival of Spring with 20% OFF carrot tapers, asparagus tapers, artichokes, early summer meadows pillars, and our soon-to-be released light green and orange taper candles (picture three). These new taper colors will hit the site next week.

Sale is IN-STORE only and lasts from 5pm-9pm.

We’re bringing back the One-of-a-Kind page to our website. It’s going to be filled with prototypes, experiments, and the simply extraordinary. Old and new.

Some of these objects come from the days when my dad gets completely absorbed in the woodshop, following an idea that wasn’t even on the day’s task list.

Our Matte Black hard-coat anodized serveware collection is back in stock! Beloved for its scratch-resistant finish and unique textures, all pieces are fully restocked and ready to join your tableware collection.

Last week, we received a shipment from our coating partner in Linden, New Jersey, with a fresh batch of our Sea Urchin Bowl, Scallop Shell, and Small Cups.

These aluminum serving vessels are poured in Loveland, Colorado using the lost wax casting method. The mold making, wax casting and post casting handwork is all done in our studio.

All of our serveware is made is the US, with our hands and the help of other small business partnerships across the country.

Spring cleaning at Artifaqt. For the next couple of weeks, the center table in our storefront will feature highly discounted products. Some pieces were designed for celebrity chefs; others were made for our own product line at some point over the years.

The table is filled with prototypes, experiments, or perhaps just a slightly different size or shape. Magnetic knife holders, bowls, serving boards, candle holders and more.

The only thing not for sale is the Smart Susan in the center. Hand carved by my dad’s friend, Tadao Arimoto, this piece is staying in the family.
