Measure wall to wall, not just the open floor. Flooring usually runs under toe kicks and appliances.

A quick sketch helps more than you’d expect. It doesn’t need to be to scale. A rough box with dimensions written on each wall tells us a lot such as where the transitions land and whether the layout will drive the plank direction.
