Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected with all this craziness going on. All our planes have been put on hold but will continue after the scare is over. I did receive a report from the Piedmont Commercial Development Authority on their progress in the last 18 months or since they've been reinstated. Please read until the end. It's important that the community know that there is a group of locals working very hard to keep Piedmont on it's feet. I truly do not understand why the council would vote to disband this group. If you want the full report contact me and I'll send it to you. BE SAFE!!!!!!

Kevin Cunningham - We have our second meeting with all local business owners and concerned citizens on Tuesday March 10, 7:00pm at Shells Downtown. There are so many people that need exactly what we are offering. Good music, great fellowship, good food and a way to just get away from it all. But you are not coming. Don't get me wrong we've had great crowds but there's still a few that I know need this. We had seven pickers and singers and was blessed with a visit from Evan Harris a young man that's going places. Had some very good food and fellowship. I even turned the lights down for dancing but had to keep running some of the older folks out of the dark spots. Amy Johnson I put your picture on the flyer so you gonna have to sing. Please share.

Looking for some volunteers to help with two separate groups. First group, to help our little town look a little more presentable to the visitors expected during the festival on the 18th of April. Second group, to help our senior citizens and disabled to maintain a quality of life they so richly deserve. If interested send me a message on FB, send a text or call me at 256-239-6580. I would like to invite all the businesses and concerned citizens to attend our meeting on March 10 at 7: pm at Shell's Downtown. Please follow the Piedmont Political Observer on facebook to get the agenda. Please note as I did in the news letter that Matt Rogers is looking for volunteers for the Festival he is organizing on the 18th of April. One last thing, Matt has organized a Pinhoti Trail Hike on Sunday Feb. 23. Group to meet behind Ladiga Fitness at 1 pm.

Don't forget to crab your sweetie little tweedy and come on down to the Clyde H Pike Civic Center in Piedmont Alabama on Feb. the 15 from 6 till 9 and do some dancing and romancin'. Bring a covered dish if you can but don't worry about if you can't. Please bring your friends and family. Looks like we will have about ten different pickers and singers that will perform for you.
