🔥 Rip & Replace Complete 🔥

This fireplace was outdated and no longer working properly. Instead of continuing to patch an aging unit, we upgraded it with a new Vail 26" gas fireplace for better performance, efficiency, and reliability.

While we were there, we also corrected a few issues with the mantle to make sure everything was properly fitted, safe, and finished clean.

Now it’s burning strong and ready for many more cozy seasons.

If your fireplace is outdated, not operating correctly, or just doesn’t look the way it should it might be time for an upgrade.

🔥 This is Why We Push Fireplace Inspections 🔥

We were called out to simply “replace some fire bricks.”

The new cabin owners had been using the fireplace for the past two years. They bought the property, noticed the bricks looked rough, and just wanted them fixed.

Instead of just swapping bricks, we recommended a Level 2 inspection.

During that inspection, we found deformation in the firebox and flue pipe. Nothing screaming “major failure” yet but enough concern that we recommended a Level 3 inspection due to the pipe deformation.

Once we opened the wall…

That’s when the real story showed up.

After asking more questions, we learned the home had experienced a previous chimney fire that was supposedly “fixed” before being sold to the new owners and disclosed as being in good condition.

A chimney fire changes everything.
Heat like that can warp metal, crack liners, weaken framing, and create hidden structural damage you cannot see from the outside.
This is exactly why we don’t just “replace bricks” and walk away.

A cosmetic fix doesn’t solve structural damage.
And hidden damage can put your family or your rental guests at serious risk.

If you’ve:
• Purchased a home or cabin
• Had a chimney fire in the past
• Never had a Level 2 inspection
• Or are running a short-term rental

You need more than a visual check.
