Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients:

- 1½ pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Crusty bread for serving

Instructions:

1. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Cook shrimp 2 minutes per side until pink, remove and set aside.
4. Add remaining butter and garlic to skillet, cook 1 minute.
5. Add white wine, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes, simmer 2 minutes.
6. Return shrimp to skillet, toss to coat in sauce.
7. Cook 1 minute until heated through.
8. Garnish with parsley and serve with crusty bread.

Cherry Pie

Ingredients:

- 2 refrigerated pie crusts
- 2 cans cherry pie filling (21 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons coarse sugar

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Line a 9-inch pie dish with one crust.
3. Mix cherry pie filling, lemon juice, almond extract, and cornstarch.
4. Pour cherry mixture into crust, dot with butter pieces.
5. Cover with second crust, seal and crimp edges, cut slits in top.
6. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
7. Bake 45-50 minutes until crust is golden and filling bubbles.
8. Cool at least 2 hours before slicing.

Monte Cristo Sandwich

Ingredients:

- 8 slices white bread
- 8 slices deli ham
- 8 slices turkey
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 3 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Raspberry jam for serving

Instructions:

1. Make 4 sandwiches layering ham, turkey, and cheese between bread slices.
2. Beat eggs and milk together in a shallow dish.
3. Dip each sandwich in egg mixture, coating both sides.
4. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
5. Cook sandwiches 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Easy Jambalaya

Ingredients:

- 1 pound andouille sausage, sliced
- 1 pound chicken thighs, cubed
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups long grain rice
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish

Instructions:

1. Brown sausage in a large pot, remove and set aside.
2. Brown chicken in same pot, remove and set aside.
3. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and celery in pot until soft, about 5 minutes.
4. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
5. Stir in rice, tomatoes, chicken broth, bay leaves, Cajun seasoning, and thyme.
6. Return sausage and chicken to pot, bring to a boil.
7. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 minutes until rice is tender.
8. Remove bay leaves, garnish with green onions and serve.

Potato Salad

Ingredients:

- 3 pounds potatoes, cubed
- 4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- ½ cup celery, diced
- ½ cup red onion, diced
- ⅓ cup dill pickles, diced
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Paprika for garnish

Instructions:

1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes, drain and cool.
2. In a large bowl, combine cooled potatoes, eggs, celery, onion, and pickles.
3. In a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper.

Ingredients:

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup hot coffee
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3½ cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ⅓ cup milk

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. Mix flour, sugar, ¾ cup cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add eggs, buttermilk, coffee, oil, and 2 teaspoons vanilla, beat 2 minutes.
4. Divide batter between pans, bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
5. Cool completely.

Ingredients:

Ingredients:

- 4 white fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients:

- 2 cans green beans, drained
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can French fried onions (6 oz)
- Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
2. Mix green beans, soup, milk, half the cheese, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and half the fried onions.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients:

- 1 large head green cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cans tomato sauce (15 oz each)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Boil whole cabbage in large pot 10 minutes, carefully peel off 12 leaves.
2. Mix ground beef, rice, egg, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Cut thick vein from each cabbage leaf.
4. Place ⅓ cup filling on each leaf, roll up tucking in sides.
5. Pour 1 can tomato sauce in bottom of large pot.
6. Place cabbage rolls seam-side down in pot.
7. Mix remaining tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, brown sugar, and lemon juice, pour over rolls.
8. Cover and simmer 1 hour until meat is cooked through.

Rice Pudding

Ingredients:

- 1 cup white rice, uncooked
- 2 cups water
- 3 cups whole milk
- ⅔ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ⅔ cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Ground nutmeg for topping

Instructions:

1. Bring water and rice to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
2. Stir in milk, sugar, and salt, cook over medium heat 15 minutes, stirring often.
3. Stir a small amount of hot rice into beaten eggs to temper.
4. Stir egg mixture back into rice, cook 2 minutes stirring constantly.
5. Remove from heat, stir in raisins, butter, vanilla, and cinnamon.
6. Serve warm or chilled.
7. Sprinkle with nutmeg before serving.
8. Store covered in refrigerator.
