To all our wonderful customers. We have permanently closed for business on Monday May 19th. The following is the note we shared on our door.
It is with deep regret that we are closing our doors effective immediately.
The City of Pinellas Park has chosen not to renew our lease after 6 years at this location and 47 years of HR Trains. We decided that we cannot physically endure another move as I am 84 years old, our son Dennis is 66 years old and our son Jimmy is 60 years old. Therefore, we have been acquired by TrainZ and have closed as of May 19, 2024.
To all our treasured customers: We cannot thank you enough for all the years you have shopped with us, allowing us to open your hearts to serve you the best way we could. You will always be dear to our hearts.

It is tough for me to post this as we were all looking forward to our annual train show that has now been canceled. The sale happened or came together very quickly.
Our business has built up to record highs since our move. People from all over the world have been visiting and shopping with us.
As our vendors and suppliers hear the news they are saying that my mom, Alice is an Icon in the Model Railroad hobby. Her love of the business and customers is amazing.
We have seen competition, come and go over the last 47 years and competition is good as it makes you work harder to give the best service possible. I know we are already missing our customers and it hurts every time one of you show up at our door and we have to share the news.
