“A Place Remembered”, is my entry in the River Oaks Square Arts Center’s Annual Summer Resident Artist Show. Opening reception is June 4th from 5-7

This year’s theme celebrates freedom in honor of our country’s 250th anniversary — and artists were free to interpret that in their own way. For me, freedom is found in memory, imagination, quiet reflection, and the ability to create spaces of peace and wonder through art.

These pieces are part of an ongoing exploration of connection—between movement and stillness, presence and pause. The robin and blue jay, each drawn to water, become small reflections of ourselves… returning, observing, and simply being.

I’m especially drawn to how these works speak to each other—the warmth of earth tones against the cool, luminous blues—like two seasons sharing the same breath.

✨ Van Gogh Gala 2025 ✨Daniel and I had an incredible night at the Van Gogh Gala — a magical evening where art and community came together. I mentored guest artist Dr. Morgan McDaniel, veterinarian at Montgomery Animal Clinic, and together we created “Breath of Life,”. 🦋💚
So proud to have been part of this event supporting local artists and creative mentorship!
