I've collected the entries I've made on my own personal channel into one post. I know it doesn't have the best of editing, but I'm also not a writer and have only just now started to put what's been in my brain for over a decade "down onto paper". There is sill much more to come, with more world building and the begining of our plot. I am extermely rusty in the art department, so the story will probably start as a sort of prologue novella with some concept illustrations as well, eventually shifting to a traditional comic style.
I've been working on something in the back of my mind. A comic based on a story and world I've been working on for over a decade in my head. A story set in the future but with traditional fantasy races (elves, dark elves, dwarves, orcs, etc). Something that has already been done before, but I feel like I have my own twist on it. The main protagonist, someone who's story is still unknown, is a Dark Elf named Aubrey T. Rasa that that goes by Tab (drawing from the Latin phrase "Tabula Rasa" meaning Clean Slate.) Almost all of it is still just brewing in my head, and it's all been brewing for awhile now, but I hope to get some updates out soon of the world, it's lore, it's characters, and it's art.
In the world of infinite realms, in it lies one of many. Europa is the home planet of the Dark Elves. They thematically are almost just like the USSR/ Soviet Union/ Eastern Europe. They had a catastrophic meltdown similar to Chernobyl that rendered their planet in endless nuclear winter. They live underground in bunkers due to the lethal radiation on the surface. Because of this, declared by The Federation of Races, no Dark Elf is allowed to own any kind of spacecraft. Regardless, they are the top developers and manufacturers of some of the best weaponry and technology in the federation, Churning out some of the best armaments in their underground bases while also mining the resources needed to make them. They are known to be skilled craftsman as well as soldiers, despite having no space fleet.
Our main protagonist, Aubrey T. Rasa, is a dark elf. Having a childhood dream of going into space and owning a ship, he always had his dream thrown in the dirt due to his race. But he made an unlikely friendship with a human Dreadnought Java (a human so old or injured or due to self mutilation, is nothing more than a brain in a cyborg body. They need no sleep, need no food except nutri-fuel, and are as agile, dexterous, and impervious to damage or pain as much as their "vessel" allows them.) who "bought" a ship. The ship was actually Rasa's. In paperwork and operation it was Java's, but it was actually Rasa's. Rasa had a troubled past on his planet. He was (and still is) one of the "Four Horseman". Trying to leave that life he left his planet on his ship "The Great Khali" along with Java, working as bounty hunters. But too many knew of him and his past, and even just navigating space he often ran into trouble.
In "The Realms" there are also the Dwarves. But they prefer to call themselves "The Sons of Tyr". In a general theme, they are space vikings. Small in stature, but filled with strength, their crafts almost match the Dark Elves. While the Dark Elves produce some of the best weapons, the Dwarves produce some of the best armor. They are known in conflict to be unstoppable wall. Shoulder to shoulder, shield to shield, they clad themselves in the finest armor that is not only durable but covered in ornamental carvings and symbols. They do not interact much with the other races, except in war. They do not travel space often, sticking to their 3 main planets in the Vahalla system. They do not start conflicts, nor has any race been able to conquer a Dwarven planet.
There also live the Orcs. They are a swarm of life. They know of their selves as "The Thousand Teeth". Every Orc has a totem crafted from the teeth of their believed god "Grag". The more teeth an orc has, the higher their status. They often kill each other just to gain teeth to improve their status. They call themselves The Thousand Teeth, but many are certain that number is incorrect. A young orc is born with but one tooth, given to them by their mother. From their, orcs live and they die, with the teeth constantly being passed to different owners. They are impossible to deal with, always craving war. They produce no resources or goods, only stealing ships, weapons, and goods from the other races they war with.
In The Realms also exist the Elf. Only related with the the Dark Elves by a split bloodline centuries ago, they are almost in no way alike. Where most dark elves are without any augmentation and cover themselves to hide their gray skin caused by radiation, the "High" Elves are the polar opposite. With lower elf ranks but a brain in a machine (similar to Human Dreadnaughts), higher status Elves are highly augmented yet still leaved naked flesh exposed. This is usually always the face and breasts and ge****ls with the rest of their bodies being covered or replaced by highly augmented machinery. They also have many internal augmentations not exposed to view. Where Dark Elves excel in weapons (and preferring brutal force in their tactics) and Dwarves in their armor (and being extremely defensive), the Elves have developed the most extensive methods of body augmentation as well as other technologies like teleportation and invisibility systems. They prefer to take a more diplomatic approach to things with high rank officials always having an air of arrogance and royalty in their interactions with other races. They prefer to stay neutral and avoid conflict, instead researching a strange unknown religious "path" that no non Elf (and even many Elves) know the details of. But, if attacked, they will respond with the highest force with grace and precision. Almost all elves are female due to their own genetic alterations. Males serve a strange cast where they cannot rise in the social hierarchy, have very few rights, and are used only for breeding their race. But despite this they are also treated with respect and protected at the highest cost, for their deaths would endanger the continuation of their people.
Humans in The Realm. Humans appeared out of nowhere. What was once a primitive tool using people that had just discovered fire became an enormous presence almost overnight. Their people range from the lowest peasant to some of the most powerful people any race has ever known. Some are street beggars, some are work fodder, some that have connections live a comfortable care free life. Some are kings. They don't make the best of anything, but instead can mass produce exceptional amounts of almost anything there is. This even includes their military. They have small groups of elite operatives, but many problems they just give basic equipment to their soldiers and pile bodes until their mission is met. Some humans are augmented, some are not. Some of the middle class have augmentations just for aesthetics, some soldiers have augmentations that are only meant for war. Some humans, if they are either a soldier that have been mortally wounded, a high ranking human that has grown to an old age, or someone who has the funds to just mutilate themselves often become "Dreadnaughts". They are but a brain inside a shell. They were human and keep their memories, but they become something more. The become a monstrosity to most. They are a human mind with the body that is anything between a cyborg of perfect human beauty to a walking tank that can destroy anything in their path in the blink of an eye. Humans deal with other races like one deals with the weather. Sometimes their ready, sometimes they are not. Sometimes they bunker up and ignore, sometimes they slice through entire planets like a surgeon with a scalpel. Most races prefer to keep them as their allies, for although still primitive, their history of throwing countless numbers on an enemy are legendary. They do not only have countless numbers, but they also have small groups of highly trained soldiers. These forces have some of the best weapons, defenses, augmentations, and skills to take on even large forces of any race. Another trait that brings fear to many other races is the fact that many humans refuse to die. They can be in the worst situations imaginable and still prevail. They can be mortally wounded beyond what could be possible and still hold off hundreds. On the verge of death and still carry out key operations. Most races besides the Orcs enjoy combat. But humans crave it. They are not afraid to fight, or die, or even take another life.
One race known is not apart of The Realms. It is not known if they inhabit some far off system billions of light years away, or if they exist along side us in another plane. They are Demons. They do not appear often, but when they do they bring nothing but annihilation. They cannot be communicated with much less reasoned or allied with. It seems they have no fear. They walk as if they are dead men. Some of the most advanced Light Elf research has discovered when their physical body dies, there life force goes back to some unknown location. They have found away to catalogue these life forces and discovered the same life force eventually returns with a new body. They have no technology and are armed with the crudest of weapons. Their only advantage is their forces appearing from anywhere in huge numbers and the fact that some Demons can use a form of "magic". From ripping a target to pieces with just a thought to creating unquenchable flames. They can levitate, conjure illusions, become invisible and intangible and teleport short distances. Many things that no other races technology can reproduce. Demon hordes are always pushed back, with any race they attack using the highest of force and even making unlikely allies temporarily to end their slaughter. But even when the their flames burn out, they always leave a path of death and destruction.
One final race inhabits The Realms. It lives in the farthest of systems on the fringe of civilization. It is known by my names. "Demon", "Death", "The Darkness", "The Black Plague". But in most official databases it is known as "The Hive". It is referred to "it" instead of "they" because they exist as a giant hivemind. No entity thinks for itself so much as it acts like one consciousness operating multiple individual forms. They require other races as "hosts" to procreate. From there they hatch as the lowest of forms. They begin to devour any flesh they come across and in doing so increase their biomass to evolve into more powerful Hive. It is also not unknown for Hive to eat their own lower forms in order to evolve further it times of need. They have no technology, no augmentations, not even any weapons (except for a few biological exceptions). They do not wield weapons or wear armor, instead gaining equivalents from their various evolutions. They do not know fear, they do not show mercy. They act as if a hive of insects that's only thought is to consume and reproduce. They are not often encountered, but when they do they bring fear and destruction. So much fear that even the Orcs (who would fight anything they encounter without question) wish to never encounter them. They usually only stay on the farthest of planets, and have difficulties with space travel. Because of their borderland habitats it is unknown how many planets beyond the Federation Of Races eye they have inhabited and how many members their race even possesses.
