Heirloom chrysanthemums end of year sale! All chrysanthemum and eucalyptus bunches $10 each, while supplies last. With the chance of a killing frost in the forecast, I decided to mark down my remaining mums and eucalyptus so you all can still enjoy flowers in the cold! Chrysanthemums are an all star in the vase and with care, they should last for more than two weeks! They make the water dirty quickly, so change the water every day and trim the stems occasionally for the best vase life.

Flowers are grown here on my farm in Pittsboro using sustainable and regenerative practices without the use of harmful pesticides or herbicides.

It is so peaceful out in the garden, with the ducks, the bees and the wind. As the season winds down, the work slows, the constant pressure of ‘hurry hurry’ drifts away. There is still much work to be done, but somehow, it all seems less urgent when I take time to stop and admire God’s creation.

Sometimes it’s fun to make a bouquet just for me, wear a cute dress, laugh and be a little silly. I love autumn! The colors, the chilly breezes rustling the changing leaves, causing them to fall like gold coins.
