REBRANDING IN PROGRESS! Blue Moon Page Shutting down in 30 Days.

Just as we spoke about earlier this year, we are officially rebranding in 2025! We've so happy of the work we've done these past 8 plus, but with time comes needed improvements, updates, and changes. After hearing our customers thoughts and needs it's time to close the book of Blue Moon Antiques and Crafts and start our new chapter: The Magpie's Chest!

Now our new business, The Magpie's Chest, will take notes of our years of practice by continuing onsite vendor events but we will soon be launching an online store with drop events so everyone across the United States can have our wares directly shipped to them! A website has been asked of us for several years and we're excited to tackle on this project.

As for inventory, we will be continuing our highest asked items such as earrings, necklaces, magnets, and of course some of our crystals from our personal excavation trips.

We will be officially retiring our stained glass items due to the cost of materials drastically increasing. This artform will always be in our hearts and we're supporters of all makers and crafters of this form!

As for antiques, this is plausible for now as we do like shiny and odd things so there may also be some exclusive items that are dropped throughout the year in case we find some neat treasures that we can restore.

As you all most likely noticed, we upped our onsite events by almost 70% as we geared up for this rebrand to start 2025 off strong. We thank all of our shoppers and followers for their years of support and we hope you all follow us on over to the new page:

We’re so excited for the The Christmas Shoppe, Pittsburg, KS Craft Show event!

We will be releasing our Christmas earrings at this event! 🌟🎄

We’ll of course have our regular jewlery on-site, some crystal specimens from our recent excavations, buttons made from recycled materials, and I’ve been painting away the nights to completely fill back up our custom made clay miniature food line earrings!

The event is coming up this Saturday, November 2nd, and will be from 9am - 3pm at the Christmas Shoppe in Pittsburg KS located at 1608 West 4th street 👏

We’re so excited for Pittsburg’s Goblin Market event!

This will be the last event of this year you can snag some our Halloween themed earrings!! 👻😈

The Goblin Market is coming up this Saturday, October 19th, and will be from 3pm - 8pm in downtown Pittsburg on West 6th street 👏

We’re so excited for the Fall Pittsburg ArtWalk that we’ve made some new additions to our realistic clay earrings line! Frosted sugar cookies, cosmic brownies, and of course some pumpkin pie slices.

Artwalk is this Friday from 5pm - 9pm in downtown Pittsburg 👏

When everyone else told me i was destined to be a forgotten nymph that nutured flowers and turn meadows gold, you saw that the ichor that resides in me demanded its own throne.

These decisions are the hardest to make for an event but we completely understand; safety comes first! 👏

UPDATE: Friday, April 26th, 2024 – 12:22pm

We regret to inform you that the Pittsburg ArtWalk, scheduled for April 26th, 2024, is canceled due to the possibility of severe weather this evening. Sadly, we can't reschedule the event.

Canceling is a tough decision for us, and we know it's disappointing for everyone involved, but we feel this is the right choice. The safety of our artists and attendees is always our first consideration.

Many factors have contributed to the time it took to make a decision to cancel today. The Pittsburg ArtWalk is not just an event but a significant source of income for many artists. Losing out on sales tonight can be devastating to them. Also, our committee has dedicated months of planning, coordination, and problem-solving. We are a group of unpaid volunteers who sacrifice their personal time to plan this event. And finally, the opportunity for us all to gather in our beautiful downtown is a cherished tradition. We love how the ArtWalk has evolved over the past 18 years and can't wait to see what the future will bring. We appreciate your understanding for the time took to come to this conclusion.

However, many indoor events are still happening tonight.
• TJ Lelands will be open and hosting our Poetry and Fiction Reading, Super Rats following to close out the night.
• TOAST will be hosting a few artists indoors and offering food specials and boozy bevies.
• Jolly Fox will be having Brushes and Brews from 4-7pm.
• Doggie Bag will be open until 8 and will have several artist pieces on display.
• ArtForms will be open showcasing many works by local artists.
• Food trucks are welcome to set up at Pritchett Pavilion if they choose to do so.

Please check all downtown business social accounts for their own updates about scheduling tonight. This list may vary.
