Agedbydesign Barn Quilts and hand painted items rekindling the past. Milk paint, whose recipe was used hundreds of years ago, can still be found on original antique pieces.

I only use authentic milk paint in my work, and am also invested in using only non-toxic finishes, to protect my family and yours…and of course our environment. I believe that this paint best evokes that vintage, old world look that I love so much. All of my items are aged and distressed by me. For my barn quilts, I distress the wood by hand and use painting techniques that cause the paint to chip

, crackle and include variations in shade and color – of course, all things that happen to pieces as they age over the years.
