So here at Quilters Depot we always tell you that we are about you. This is one of our groups that do alot together. They took 101 together, they took 201 together and now they are doing a paper piecing class that they scheduled with Kathy. They have a list of classes they want to do in 2026. So I sent the newsletter out last week and NO ONE has responded to my questions so i'm repeating the segment here. Added a generic picture to pay my instagram/facebook tax. please respond but fllow the nothing to make me cry instructions.............................................................

The next thing I think about as I plan for next year is what I can do to get more of your feet in the store buying stuff and more of your fingers shopping online. So here are a few loaded questions. Remember when you answer we are a small store and can’t carry everything like we did in the original location. We have a rule that if three people mention wanting something we need detail info so I don’t make a bad investment in the inventory and don’t have the cashflow to pay for it.
We have had some requests for fleece. Do you want fleece? If so what type. Novelty, sports, basic colors?
What else would you like in the store?
Any special classes?
Would you like to teach?
If anyone knows of something I can do with a lot of felt (some wool some regular felt) please email me some patterns. We don’t have a lot of popular colors but they were purchased for embroidery projects and went unused.
I really hope that you will take the time to help me make Quilters Depot the store you want to go to! After so many years I am stuck in a rut and don’t know what to do to entice you all. Be kind in your responses. You don’t want me to cry (responses have done this to me in the past).

It’s October, where has the year gone. Soon it’ll be spooky season, turkey season and Christmas!
I started to write this blog I think before it was even October and was going to talk about the warm weather. So that paragraph has now been rewritten to the last two sentences! Why did I start so early? At work they offer programs to better yourself and it’s always good to take them to please the bosses! So I am in a coaching program through at least the end of the year. So this blog is based on what my coach has been telling me to do.
I am in planning mode for 2026. We will be continuing Kathy’s Corner and the Girl’s Dress Charity. We will also be adding Baily’s Cat haven to our charity project for next year. Emily and I have been very busy making samples and in Emily’s case writing some of the patterns we have found to make them easier or in an alternative form of making them. I found a lot of crochet patterns and now Emily is making them better and putting them into Knitting also! More info on this will be in the December/January newsletter but I plan ahead way too much!
