The Pittsburgh Pickle…A Holiday Tradition!

Hiding a Christmas pickle on the tree has become a holiday tradition that I thought was rooted in Germany, but apparently was just a marketing ploy by Woolworths in the late 1800’s to sell more glass pickle ornaments that they bought from Germany. Regardless, it’s become a tradition thanks to Capitalism and Consumerism and THAT my friends is AMERICAN.

So buy one today! Mine is unbreakable so it has that going for it. And it’s cute because it has eyes and a smile. Just be careful bc dogs also find it charming and will destroy it.
