We had an opportunity to head to Maui before San Diego, so we took it! We spent time in Maui getting to know strangers who became fellow Bills Mafia fans because we shared a 7am experience watching a live football game that we would normally be seeing at 1pm EST. In San Diego we spent time with people we love from both San Diego and Lake Tahoe (because they took the time to come down and visit while we were in SD). My cup is full! Full of beautiful people, beautiful sights, laughter, smiles and tacos. Warm and welcome spans well beyond the home you reside in. It’s a feeling you carry with you when you’re surrounded by the right people. Mahalo 🌺

We had a “place holder” hallway and entryway. Years ago we had a red hallway and vintage Persian runner in this space. I just couldn’t take it anymore but we were getting married and had other priorities than making it what we wanted at the time. So we painted the back of the stairs coral (to add a touch of fun) while we painted the walls beige. Yes, I said beige 🫣. When it came time for the upgrade, we went all in, including making this shoe closet (and perhaps 30 hats and 30 scarves) pop! I love the result! Today I made the decision to finally purchase our decorative vent cover that’s been missing for nearly a year 🥴

I’m still working on this little powder room. As I find small and interesting mirrors or frames (that I have mirrors placed in) I have added them. I think I need one more but it’s going to have to grab my attention to add it to where my wooden deer lay currently.

Our continued hunt for repurposed items to help in our renovation of our sweet little 1907 cottage. Sadly, one of our favorite places that I’ve been buying vintage items for our house and cottage, is going out of business. I’ve been shopping at rehouse for a couple decades. Leaded glass door, flooring from the 1800’s, and upside down pharmacy cabinet I used in our kitchen as an island etc. So many treasures! Just glad we got some last minute items to breathe new life into. Follow along as we start the renovation process…

It’s been a minute! After all the work we’ve been doing at our home, it was time to open up our seasonal cottage. Many beautiful days ahead hosting friends and family. 🥂

We’ve been so busy with multiple projects at once. Here is an update on one of them. Still some fina touches to come like: new curtain and rod, adding trim to door and painting, covering the plumbing under the sink (I can’t stand seeing it) and replacing the doorknob. I love the Hollywood Regency glamour of it!
