Hey neighbors — after the storms last night, I know a lot of basements around here took on some water. Roof damage gets the attention, but flooded carpet and flooring are really common after heavy rain.

A couple quick things to keep in mind:

• Be careful in wet areas until you're sure there’s no electricity involved.
• Some flooring can be dried out if it’s handled quickly — others (like carpet and pad) usually need to go.
• Water can wick up into drywall and wall materials, which can lead to mold if it isn’t addressed.

If you still have standing water, electricity near water, or water clearly reached the walls, it’s best to call a restoration company right away. But if it's all about the floors, we're happy to help.

Hockey kid called up from the bench and off the ice to assist Dad on a laminate delivery.
Material staged in a back room so the Super Bowl party stayed uninterrupted.
