Things of Note & Upcoming Happenings
We hope you are having a lovely start to the spring season!
We have many exciting updates happening at the shop and are thrilled to share them with you :)
Celebration of Needlework
We are excited to share that we will be vending at the Celebration of Needlework event in Nashua, NH, this month!!.
For those who may not know, this is the oldest continuously running needleart show in the U.S. and Canada, and attending is consistently one of the highlights of our year.
We often describe the event as an "a la carte" or "choose your own adventure" retreat. Whether you want to take a class, attend a lecture, shop the vendor mall, or simply spend time stitching with others, the experience is entirely customizable to your schedule. If you are in the area, we highly encourage you to stop by for what is sure to be a fantastic time. You can find more information and event details at celebrationofnw.com.
Please note that because we will be on-site for the event,
the shop will be closed from Sunday, May 10th, through Tuesday, May 19th.
Additionally, all shipping will be paused during this period.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to catching up with many of you in Nashua.
Needlepoint News
Over the past year, we have seen a substantial increase in the number of people visiting us in search of needlepoint supplies. This growing interest was a major factor in our recent decision to move to a larger space, and we are officially adding needlepoint to our permanent offerings.
Please note that because the needlepoint industry has seen such a significant surge in popularity, suppliers are currently working hard to keep up with demand. As a result, it may take some time for us to be fully stocked, but we are well on our way. We have already started carrying beginner needlepoint kits and have recently added Essential Skeins by Tilli Tomas to our inventory.
We look forward to seeing you at the new shop soon and helping you start your next project!
By the Bay Needleart's "The Book Club" Stitch A Long
The amazing Donna Bayliss of By the Bay Needleart is doing a stitch a long titled The Book Club and as Pam is an avid reader this one is right up our alley!!
The design will be a bookshelf divided into six sections, each inspired by a classic novel: “Anne of Green Gables,” “The Secret Garden,” “Pride and Prejudice,” “Heidi,” “Little House on the Prairie,” and “Little Women.”
Starting June 1st, 2026, one section will be released each month featuring characters and motifs from the story, along with a specially made bookmark for each novel, free for the Stitch A Long Participants. The first release, “Anne of Green Gables,” will include the top section of one side of the bookshelf, followed by “The Secret Garden” with the top section of the other side.
Each section will be $15
Our shop will host a monthly stitch together on the following Sundays from 12-4 for those participating in the SAL to keep us motivated, to ooh and aah over each other's progress and to chit chat about the books.
June 14, July 12th, August 9th, Sept. 13th, Oct. 18th, and Nov. 8th
If you are interested in participating, please reach out to us to get on the list either by email, phone, or stopping in the shop.
