Since 1946, exceptional craftsmanship has always been in style.
In the early days, Palmer Hargrave lighting could be found at Gump’s in San Francisco before earning exclusive representation in top design showrooms across the nation. Founder Jack Hargrave built a legacy of handcrafted luxury lighting known for timeless elegance, artistry, and enduring beauty.
After Jack’s passing in 1975, his daughter Janet Hargrave carried the company forward with remarkable dedication, leading the brand until her retirement at age 78. The company later operated under Dessin Fournir from 2000–2019 before the luxury manufacturer ultimately ceased operations.
But the Palmer Hargrave story did not end there.
Just months later, former employees Chris and Kelli Hansen acquired the beloved lighting company and brought it back to life with a deep respect for its heritage, craftsmanship, and reputation for excellence. Today, they continue to honor the brand’s legacy while thoughtfully guiding Palmer Hargrave into a new generation of luxury design, preserving the artistry, quality, and custom craftsmanship that have defined the company for decades.
