I wanted to share these images from the Oconoluftee Visitors Center in North Carolina, which made me reflect on the considerable advancements in the realm of quilting and sewing. The descriptions and images of the obstacles women faced while sewing or quilting, as compared to the extensive options available to us today, have rekindled my enthusiasm for vintage and antique quilts. 💗 My 2 grandchildren were even amazed at what women had to do then compared to what they have seen me do now….love helping them appreciate history even in quilting!
