If you haven’t stopped by in a few weeks, put us on your list. New lights, new lamps, new bedding, and new furniture are hitting the floor this week — including this *beautiful* triple dresser painted in Fusion Mineral Paint’s Lavender Haze, and finished with pearl wax. She’s a stunner!

We’re doing our best to get our new pieces measured, photographed, and listed on our website as well, but that’s a job in and of itself! Sometimes it’s quiet in the store, but we’re busy bees behind the scenes. Keep an eye on our stories for some pretty moments that are developing as we go, and stay tuned for a fresh walkthrough reel this weekend!

Reels aren’t my strength, but pillows are!

Here’s how to stuff a good one, whether you made it yourself or had it sewn professionally.

Some tips:

☀️ A quality pillow form will last a lifetime. To freshen it over time, spray with tea tree oil diluted in alcohol (or your fave linen spray) and set it in full sun for an hour each side, then punch to mix and repeat. We have fave brands & firmnesses; come see us for these.

🧵 Quality sewing will also last a lifetime, and basic skills are all you need to create gorgeous pillows to enrich your space. 1.5 yards of designer fabric that you love = 2 complete 22” square pillows that nobody else has in their home, or 4 pillow fronts with other backers. Big impact for one of the smallest fabric quantities!

💰 These pieces can be an investment, but getting it right the first time makes a huge difference in satisfaction & therefore longevity! Start with getting your primary bedding just how you want it, and then move to your main sofa.

Looking for a classic cream + gold palette for your painting project? Here’s a couple tried & true combos that take your piece from a simple DIY look to truly custom.

For a modern, crisp look, we love Snowdrop, the newest white from Fusion Mineral Paint. Paired with their classic Metallic Gold, the look is every bit like a showroom. Use a dry brush method to apply the gold in a couple thin layers for the richest look.

Need a little softer look? Fusion’s best-selling Raw Silk is still the perfect antique white paint color. We love using this on pieces with more detail for an old-world look. To achieve the right look in gold accents, we layer 3 Fusion Metallics: Bronze, Copper, and Gold. We usually let our brush do the mixing as we dab on a layer of Bronze & Copper together, and then dry-brush Gold over that layer once it’s dry. This method achieves the highlights & lowlights of a European antique, creating your own heirloom for your home.

Remember, our staff are happy to help as you tackle your projects! We keep our Fusion wall as stocked as possible, and we even offer custom painting if you don’t want to tackle it yourself.

✨ NEW ADDITION ✨

These stunningly beautiful Blessed Mother statues are now available from Ponchatoula artist Tammy Krajniak.

Each one is cast, painted, glazed, and detailed by hand before being adorned with its crown and rosary. Just looking at them when they first arrived had our team & our shoppers at that moment all taking a deep breath.

Quantities will remain limited, due to the handmade nature of these beauties. When sold out, they can be reserved with a deposit.
