Bayou Brush by Gabrielle

Bayou Brush by Gabrielle 🌿Hi, I’m Gabrielle Thomas, Louisiana native, wife, mom, respiratory therapist, and artist.

Painting has been a therapeutic outlet for my anxiety and grew into Bayou Brush, where I create nature-inspired art filled with light, healing, and meaning.🌿

✨Reflections of Stillness ✨
Light gathers on the water, an egret lifts toward the sky, and the heart is drawn to something beyond itself. Inspired by the beauty of the divine woven through creation.

Available for purchase at Cypress Landing…opening day is June 13. ☺️🌿🕊️✨ -art

✨ 🤍A DREAM unfolding🤍✨

I’m so excited to share that Bayou Brush by Gabrielle will soon be part of The Shops at Cypress Landing, a beautiful new shopping destination coming to Ponchatoula.

Featuring a thoughtfully curated collection of local artisans and makers, Cypress Landing will be a wonderful place to discover unique, handcrafted treasures. I’m honored to have a gallery space there and especially excited to display my “Reflections of Light” collection ALL together.

Opening date is set for Saturday June 13th at 10am .

Thank you for supporting this dream. I can’t wait to share it with you. 🤍🎨✨

Just a few more finishing touches to add!

I loved bringing this custom piece to life as a Mother’s Day gift.
On this commission they wanted to capture the view their mom cherishes most, looking out her window, waiting for the crape myrtles to bloom.
Now she can enjoy them year round, no waiting required.

There are moments when the path grows quiet,
and something deeper begins to lead…
a gentle pull you can feel, but not explain.

It was waiting all along…
you just had to trust.

I’ll be bringing “Where the Light Leads” with me next Saturday at my artist pop-up at Bayou Booksellers 🤍

This piece was created for the 2026 Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival submission.
Although it didn’t get selected to take the cover… it was a joy to paint it and i’m grateful I did.

I created it to hold Ponchatoula as a feeling,
not a moment in time, but a memory that lingers.

A quiet reminder to keep showing up,
and to trust what is asking to be created no matter the outcome. 🌿✨

This one is especially close to my heart,
and i’m so happy it found it’s forever home.

I may release a small number of prints, thoughtfully,
if there is interest.
Update: I will release a limited number of prints in the next week or so. I will update with the pickup info this week. 😊

Well… I did a little brave thing !✨

Stepped out of my comfort zone and did my first live painting for the Twin Steeples “Showdown” fundraiser. 🤍

Thank you Louisiana Senior Advisors for sponsoring me and Kim Zabbia for being the best mentor and believing in me! Oh and grateful to have the kindest, most uplifting group of artists to share this experience with.. 🤍💛

🤍🌸Part of my upcoming “Reflections of Light” collection:

“The Garden Between Worlds”

Did you know the hexagon is the MOST efficent shape found in nature ( Honeycomb )?

The more I paint nature, the more I see how everything is connected…light, bloom, bees, and the patterns beneath it all.
What catches your attention MOST? 🌈
