🍫🐢 Slow Cooker Chocolate Turtles 🐢🍫
A delightful and indulgent treat that combines rich chocolate, creamy caramel, and crunchy pecans, all made effortlessly in your slow cooker. Perfect for gifting or enjoying at home!
Ingredients:
4 cups pecans, chopped
32 ounces almond bark
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 ounces chocolate baking bar
24 ounces Rolo candies, unwrapped
Sprinkles (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray for easy removal of the turtles.
Layer the Ingredients: Begin by placing the chopped pecans evenly at the bottom of the slow cooker. Then, add the unwrapped Rolo candies on top of the pecans.
Melt the Chocolate: In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the almond bark, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and chocolate baking bar. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
Combine and Cook: Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the pecans and Rolo candies in the slow cooker. Gently stir to combine all the ingredients, ensuring the pecans and Rolo are well coated.
Cook on Low: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes, until everything is melted and combined.
Shape the Turtles: Once cooked, use a spoon to scoop out portions of the mixture and place them onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Shape them into turtle forms, allowing some of the pecans to show.
Add Sprinkles: If desired, sprinkle some colorful sprinkles on top of each turtle while the chocolate is still warm.
Cool and Set: Allow the turtles to cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the chocolate is set.
Serve and Enjoy: Once set, serve these delicious chocolate turtles as a sweet treat or package them up as gifts for friends and family!
