"Stormy Meadows®" isn't just a name I made up for my business. It's a tribute of sorts to my father, Norman "Stormy" Robbins III. It's my way of keeping his legacy going, and hopefully with a little success I can keep his name alive and strong for many years to come. He always dreamed to be able to make a living from his land, but never took it to that. I only hope he sees what I am trying to do h

ere, while using his name proudly, and doing something that would make him proud, like keep his farm land working for the family for generation's to come! I just wish you were here to see it, and to meet your granddaughter and great grandson.

For all you hunters... You already know it's shed hunting season. This year let's find all of those awesome deer sheds and get paid for your time!! $$$ You heard correctly "paid while hunting deer sheds"? Just take a look around and keep an eye out for tree burls as well as the sheds. Bring them to me anyway you can. Cut it off, drag the whole tree in, or just give me a detailed map. Once I get a burl in hand, I'll pay accordingly. $$$ Burls can be a nice source of extra money and pay based on a few different factors.$$$ 1st size does matter! The bigger the better, right ladies? Seriously a large burl in hand makes the value go up. $$$ 2nd the species of tree is a huge factor. Some trees make amazing burls, while others are almost worthless. Note I said almost. Bring them all. The all will get you paid. $$$ lastly a burls grain characteristics are hidden by bark and can only be seen by cutting it up. DO NOT CUT THE BURLS. I BUY THEM WHOLE. Sometimes I'll cut an outer layer off to help decide a burls value, but not always$$$ Now you have a few answers about burls keep those eyes peeled and bring in those burls and see some of the beautiful creations I make from burls. Also here are a few specimens. Note how they are cut off and left intact. That's what I want.
