We are saying goodbye to a true Josephine’s legend. 💜

For the past eight years, we have had the honor of having Shirley as part of Josephine’s. Her incredible eye, attention to detail, and ability to find some of the most amazing and unique pieces have made her space truly special.

Shirley, we are so grateful for everything you have brought to Josephine’s over the years. You have been such a special part of our shop, and you will be greatly missed.

We wish you nothing but the very best as you step into this next chapter of life! And this may not be the last you see of Shirley around here… keep an eye out because she just might make an appearance as a pop-up vendor from time to time. 💜

Thank you for eight wonderful years, Shirley! We love you and will miss having you here. Cheers to what comes next!

For those who may be new to Josephine’s, I thought it was time to share a little more about the woman behind the name. 💛

I’m Sam the owner and this is my sweet grandmother, Josephine. She is the reason behind so much of what this shop has become, and she’s where my love of vintage, found, and redeemed things first began.

Looking back over 13 years of Josephine’s, I find myself returning again and again to why I started this journey. It began with my grandmother, the things she loved, and the memories she gave me.

This summer, I’ve felt especially drawn to bringing more of Josephine herself back into the shop and reconnecting with the heart that inspired it from the beginning.

And one of the biggest pieces of that is food. ❤️

My grandmother loved to cook, and some of my favorite childhood memories happened in her kitchen—helping her cut apples, watching her prepare meals, and then sitting down to enjoy everything she had made.

I want to begin sharing some of those memories with you through Josephine’s recipes and the stories behind them.

The first one had to be her Apple Crisp. 🍎

Every time I think of this recipe, I’m taken right back to being a kid in her kitchen. I hope you enjoy making it with your family and that, in some small way, it becomes part of the memories made around your own table.
