Life is beautiful on a Friday evening as I gathered flowers from our neighbor and our own backyard for a floral painting workshop tomorrow in Bremerton.

I consider this the epitome of my artist career! 🤣

A great way of using Indigo color in your watercolor painting is painting ripples in your seascape painting.

Because indigo is cooler and highly concentrated, it will contrast with warm blues like Cobalt or Ultramarine Blue really well. It will also help you maintain the shapes even when you paint wet on wet, because Indigo is much richer and darker than other pigment, especially at butter consistency.

Thank you .grahamco for sending this new color for me to try out. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. It’s super useful for my nocturnal paintings as well!

Here is a quick demo of using Magenta color to paint sunset gradation in watercolor. Magenta eliminates the use of Alizarin Crimson and Cadmium Red because it can mix with blue and yellow without loosing vibrancy.

Thank you .grahamco for making this beautiful pigment!
