Whenever you take a class from anyone & expressly do what is suggested NOT to do, take responsibility for your choices. I say this because I was recently contacted by a young person who took a class that we held over 2 years ago by a guest teacher who, yes, is a personal friend of mine. This student has told us several times that we are responsible for her mental problems since said class on working with Sprit Boards, which she refers to as a Séance, which we did have a day later, for which she did not attend, & I have recordings from both the class she attended as well as the Seance.
Both the teacher & I are not novices to the Craft, Ghost Hunting, Seances, & working with Spirit/s in general. Neither one of us are novices at teaching &/or working with the general public as well. However, this is one of the few times that I have had to remind someone that we are not responsible for your actions after taking a class. Alternative spiritual paths are other ways of looking at life, how we live it, & sometimes what may exist beyond it. If you were to take any other kind of class on a subject, it should be because you are generally interested in expanding your knowledge. If you were to blame a Science Teacher for your experiments not going the way you wanted based on ONE Class, that would be considered very irresponsible of YOU, not the teacher. Do we feel for that person who is going through a hard time because of their own actions that they did after this class even though when she brought up her agenda in the middle of the class & was told SEVERAL times that what she wanted to do was NOT suggested without a LOT more knowledge about the subject &/or using certain protocols to protect herself further? Yes, we do feel for them & wish them to make better choices, & that they find the healing that truly aligns with their own personal path.
