The Bunkhouse was built on a timber frame consisting of 8x8 and 4x4 beams. These beams were sourced from fallen trees from the Detroit Lake fires of 2020. The live edge slab and custom stoolds were also sourced from the same salvaged wood. Bunk beds were built with LVL.
The Bunkhouse was waterproofed before the siding even went up. The siding was done using the Shou Sugi Ban technique. Each individual shingle was charred by hand in our shop. No corners were cut with this build. Contact us to set up an appointment for a viewing. The Bunkhouse is virtually staged in the picture. It currently sits in our shop in NW Portland.
