This Lake Oswego kitchen got a complete makeover - gutted, rearranged, and rebuilt to be more functional and stylish.

Here’s what makes this space so special:

➡️ Two-tone shaker-style cabinets: The island and vent hood are painted in a darker warm gray with a subtle gray on the main cabinets
➡️ Floor-to-ceiling storage: Including a cabinet with an appliance lift and plenty of space for sheet trays, spices, and small appliances
➡️ Hidden coffee and breakfast stations: Concealed behind cabinetry to keep everyday items accessible while counters stay clutter-free
➡️ Flexible seating: Featuring a small glass dining table with four comfy chairs (that match the dining room chairs), complemented by two barstools at the island’s overhang

Here are the finishing touches that bring it all together:

- Backsplash: Pietra Marais herringbone mosaic tile in the color Nero Natural
- Countertops: Q Stone quartz in the color Rolling Fog

Views first. Everything else second. How about dining everyday with stunning views of Mt. Hood? The furniture and finishes were chosen to support that, not compete with it.

👉 A dining room doesn’t need to do it all. It can simply be a space where family and friends share a meal together. Clutter and extra furniture can just get in the way.

This room was finished with a rug, plant, and a few intentional pieces of art to add warmth and interest without cluttering the space. 🖼️

Sometimes the most impactful rooms are the ones that feel effortless.

The old gray rock and chunky mantle are history. This fireplace just got a major style upgrade. 👏

Enter Stone Theory’s gorgeous Metamorphic matte tile: sleek, modern, and totally timeless.

The clean lines keep things modern yet cozy, creating the perfect backdrop for the TV without feeling cluttered or busy.

We added windows on both sides to flood the space with natural light, instantly brightening the room and making the fireplace wall a true centerpiece.

Fireplace: upgraded. Family room: transformed. 💯

Small layout changes made a big impact in this Lake Oswego family room:

✔️ We moved the bathroom door to the hallway for better flow (and privacy!)

✔️ The room was asking for a large sectional, new and relocated built-in storage, and a TV perfect for movie nights and game days!

✔️ We also brought in more natural light by adding windows on either side of the fireplace and enlarging the sliding glass door

One of the biggest transformations in this Lake Oswego remodel isn’t just about how it looks, but how it flows.

To create a more natural, intuitive flow in the family room, we rethought a few key transitions.

Originally, the guest bathroom was only accessible from the family room. Functional? Yes. Ideal for privacy and flow? Not so much. 🙅🏼‍♀️

The solution? Close off the original door and create a new entrance from the hallway.

Done and done! ✅ Now the bathroom has more privacy, and the family room feels more intentional and comfortable.

Small architectural changes like these make a huge impact. It proves that good design isn’t just about style, it’s about smarter living.

Have you ever thought, “My bathroom could be so much better… I just don’t know where to start?” 🤷

The owners originally thought they would need to add on to make this primary bathroom and closet meet their needs. Instead, we took a closer look at the space they already had and rethought how it functioned. By stepping back and asking the right questions - how the room should flow, where space matters most, and what would make it feel worth the investment - we were able to redesign the layout without expanding the footprint.

The result is a bathroom that feels intentional from the moment you walk in. Thoughtful. Easy to use. Designed to last.

This room already had a strong foundation - beautiful natural light and a great view (more views of Mount Hood)! It didn’t need an overhaul. It needed clarity.

The design focused on working with what was already here. A layout that made sense with the windows, a seating area that allows the homeowner to enjoy the view or have a relaxing morning coffee, and just enough furniture to make the room feel finished without weighing it down.

This design isn’t about more. It’s about better. ✨

🌲 Outdoor spaces deserve just as much intention as the interior.

For this front deck, we focused on:

➡️ Comfortable, modern seating with durable finishes that can handle the humidity
➡️ A central electric fire pit table for warmth on those chilly Lake Oswego nights
➡️ Layouts that prioritize conversation and, of course, the view!

This front deck boasts gorgeous views of Mount Hood. It was designed for connection - to the landscape, to the home, and to the people using it.

Are you ready to sit and stay awhile?! 🛋️

This project began the way so many great collaborations do 👉 with a few ideas and an internet search.

After moving to Lake Oswego, these homeowners found me through the ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) website. They had just purchased their home and could see its potential, but wanted help creating a complete, cohesive vision. Together, we developed a design plan that improved the home’s layout while adding cozy, intentional features like a new fireplace.

Their style leans transitional - an intentional balance of clean, timeless architecture paired with warm, livable finishes. Think classic bones, fresh lines, layered textures, and spaces that feel both elevated and inviting.

➡️ Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing how we reimagined layouts, what materials we selected, how we blended new artwork with existing, and ultimately transformed every room in the home, including a kitchen overhaul that changed everything.

None of this would have come together without a great build partner. Huge thanks to AG Remodeling LLC, led by owner Alex Tsybikov, for executing the vision and bringing the details to life.

More to come, and so many details to share! 💚
