The Color Shop

10/01/2026

Hi friends,

WE’RE OPEN!

After weeks of moving, unpacking, organizing, rearranging, and then rearranging everything again, The Color Shop is officially open in our new home on Mississippi!

The shop is still very much a work in progress. There are walls to paint, displays to finish, and plenty of projects still on my list. But the doors are open and I’m ready to see you!

We’re stocked with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, IOD, and all the supplies you need to get started on your next project.

And speaking of projects, I may be recruiting a few willing volunteers to help me put some color on these walls. Payment will likely involve paint, snacks, and my eternal gratitude. More on that soon.

Come see the new space, check out the neighborhood, and say hi!

I’m so happy to finally be here. I can’t wait to show you what this place becomes.

See you on Mississippi! ❤️

Hi Everyone-

Well, the move has been massive! I am officially completely out of Lloyd Center and currently surrounded by boxes at the new Mississippi shop. Whew.

But first, IOD Encore is here! And they’ve brought back three of the most beloved holiday moulds from the past:

Snowflakes (https://www.thecolorshoppdx.com/product/snowflakes-iod-mould/5JH6UAWAYA4V2JA4YE7WR2A2?cs=true&cst=custom)
Baubles (https://www.thecolorshoppdx.com/product/baubles-iod-mould/XL5AE33AIUKPX62NLYE57CJD?cs=true&cst=custom)
Boughs of Holly (https://www.thecolorshoppdx.com/product/boughs-of-holly-iod-mould/FK5KHTKWDDQIQ65N34SHUFGT?cs=true&cst=custom)
These are a limited release, and I’ve secured a limited quantity of all three arriving around mid-October. You can pre-order yours now to make sure you get them before they’re gone.

And IOD has brought out the sparkle too! The new metallic inks are Gold Shimmer (https://www.thecolorshoppdx.com/product/metallic-ink-pads-refills-by-iod/O3TZV42B4SYRBNDDLZX75TTP?cs=true&cst=custom) and Silver Sparkle (https://www.thecolorshoppdx.com/product/metallic-ink-pads-refills-by-iod/O3TZV42B4SYRBNDDLZX75TTP?cs=true&cst=custom) , available in both ink pads and refills. These are not limited edition, and I’ll have them available for pickup beginning this Saturday.

A little shop update...
I’m completely moved out of Lloyd Center and unpacking at the new Color Shop on Mississippi. I’m there during my normal shop hours, but fair warning—the shop isn’t quite fully open yet. There are still boxes, displays being put together and a whole lot of “where did I put that?”

In the meantime, you can absolutely still shop! Place your order for pickup at the new shop, local delivery or shipping while I get everything settled in.

I cannot wait to show you the finished space. We’re getting there!

Whew. Did I mention whew?

Hello Everyone!

Tomorrow is officially our final day at Lloyd Center! We’ll be open 11 AM to 7 PM, and I have a feeling the mall is going to be buzzing.

There are events happening throughout the day as everyone comes out for one last look and one last memory of the mall so many of us grew up with. The nostalgia and quirkiness will be out in full force. There’s even a mall funeral procession and one last 80's mall walk.

I went ice skating at the rink one last time last night with my grown kiddos, which felt like the perfect way to say goodbye. We even spotted a couple taking their wedding photos in the mall. Apparently everyone is getting their Lloyd Center memories in while they can!

Come see me tomorrow, shop the Moving Sale, wander the mall, and be part of its very strange and very Portland final day.

And THANK YOU for the incredible response to the new IOD Winter Collection! The release was a huge success, and I’ve already placed a reorder.

If you missed something from this release, don’t worry. More is arriving next week, and you can order online and even preorder from my incoming shipment.

A couple of IOD updates:

Old Colchester Road and Charlbury Lane Moulds are currently unavailable, but they are NOT limited edition and are expected back in late September.

The new Mini Thin Mounts are expected in early September.

After tomorrow, I’ll still be shipping orders, making local deliveries, and arranging pickups while I get the new shop ready. If you need anything at all please email me [email protected]

Thank you all so much for supporting this little shop at Lloyd Center. I hope I see a bunch of you tomorrow for one last hurrah!

And most importantly, I look forward to seeing you all very soon at our new home at 3900 N. Mississippi!

It’s the last day of Atlanta Market, and what a week it’s been!

I’ve had a wonderful time representing Annie Sloan, connecting with retailers, and sharing all things about this amazing brand.

Next stop: Annie Sloan retailer training!

If you’re in Portland, my supergirl Lucy will be holding down the fort at The Color Shop today from 12-5. Stop by, say hello, and stock up on paint, IOD, and all your creative essentials while I’m away.

Thank you to everyone who’s stopped by the Annie Sloan Showroom in Atlanta, supported the shop, and followed along on this adventure. See you all soon!
