Last week, i worked with 📍PDX | Texture Specialist - Scalp Care - Health Coaching cara lindsay Mollie Cartwright-Smith to create an eerie, gorgeous collaboration. We worked in URBANITE PDX , absorbed in the natural light reflected on rough textured walls. I hung pressed clay slabs of my face and my brother’s face in a grid against the painted cinder blocks, and loved the way the traffic patterns sparkled across them. Working with this team, and making art just to make, felt so deeply refreshing and energizing. There was a natural, organic flow to our collaboration, and I was reminded in these hours how important it is to hold space for these moments. I came away thinking a lot about making art, and then also about our responses to art, our perspectives, and how we ourselves become part of the process, reflected back. I’m excited to share the final results. Thank you, thank you to this amazing team and location.
