Whenever I see someone share a mistake, or a moment of frustration in their making process, I send them a virtual fist bump and a whole lotta respect. (Shout out to .i.made.this for this little seam rip moment!)
If you're brave enough to try your hand at a new skill, you will almost certainly make mistakes. In my years of teaching, I've noticed that you can spot a seasoned maker by the way they are unruffled by screwing something up. They've made enough mistakes to know that they're inevitable and can almost always be corrected.
It's a resiliency that gets built up over time like a muscle. Every mistake makes you a better maker. And that's worth showing off! βοΈ
