This is an extremely hard, yet exciting email to write. I have recently sold MO's Needle & Thread to Jacklin Blodgett of The Crafted Scout. My husband and I are planning on relocating in the next year or two and I needed to make sure the shop was in good hands before starting that process. Over the past 4 years, we have sent many customers to Jacklin for her long-arming services. I have no doubt that Jacklin will be a great asset to this community. She has lots of fresh new ideas and has already moved one of her long-arms into the shop! I can't wait to learn how to use it!
Now of course I'm not going to just abandon my favorite people! I will continue to work at the shop on Tuesdays and Thursdays! I will also continue to teach Quiltworx classes one Saturday a month (The Eternal Autumn Class). My future plans do involve designing under the name Sew MO-tivated so keep an eye out. I know quite a few of you follow my facebook group page. I will continue to keep my group open but will be gearing it more toward items I create/design. I will also be guiding you toward Jacklin's page so that you can keep up to date on what is happening at the shop. The shop name will be changing to The Crafted Scout (her already established business name), however, due to the All Michigan Shop Hop in June/July, you will not physically see that change on the building until August. We don't want it to confuse the traveling shop hoppers. All communications will switch to The Crafted Scout as of May 1st. If you have gift cards, please use them by December 31st, 2026.
