🪟 Style, Light & Privacy—All in One Beautiful Shade

The right window coverings can completely change the way a room looks and feels.
Roman Shades combine the soft, sophisticated look of fabric with practical everyday function. Available with everything from soft, full folds to clean, crisp folds, they can complement a wide range of interior styles.

And they do more than look beautiful:

✨ Choose from a wide variety of fabrics, colors and designs
☀️ Light-filtering and room-darkening options help you control natural light and privacy
🏡 Their insulating qualities can help improve energy efficiency
📱 Multiple control options are available, including automation
🤍 A timeless look that works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms and dining spaces

In this room, we love how the Roman shades soften the large windows while allowing natural light to remain part of the design. They’re the finishing touch that makes the entire space feel polished and complete.

🏡 If You Could Change ONE Thing… What Would It Be?
This kitchen has great bones and plenty of warmth, but it also gives us a fun question:
If this were your kitchen and you could update just ONE thing, what would you choose?
Would you…
🪵 Keep the rich wood cabinets but update the flooring?
✨ Swap the tiled countertops for a beautiful stone or quartz slab?
◻️ Replace the small mosaic backsplash with something fresh and modern?
🎨 Lighten up the cabinetry—or keep those warm wood tones?
💡 Add statement lighting to give the space a whole new personality?
Sometimes you don’t need to change everything to completely change the way a room feels.
👇 So…what gets your vote? Pick ONE thing you’d change first!
And if you’re looking at your own kitchen thinking, “Where do I even start?” The team at Macadam Floor & Design can help you put the pieces together. Call our amazing designers today at 503-907-9374 to make your dreams a reality! ✔️

🎨 Mood Board Monday | Contemporary Luxury

This week's mood board is all about creating a space that feels sophisticated, timeless, and just a little unexpected.

The star of the design? The luxurious green shower featuring Bedrosians Cloé | Green tile. Its handcrafted look and rich color create a stunning focal point while adding warmth and personality to the space.

Paired with warm wood cabinetry, granite countertops, gold hardware, and a complementary tile floor, every element works together to create a clean, contemporary design that's both elegant and inviting.

It's proof that bold choices don't have to overwhelm a room—they can elevate it.

✨ The best designs aren't built around a single material. They're created by thoughtfully layering textures, colors, and finishes that complement one another.

💬 Would you bring this look into your home?
💚 Absolutely—I'm loving the green tile!
🤍 I'd use a different tile color.
🏡 I'd recreate this entire space!

🔨 It's What You Don't See That Makes All the Difference.

Beautiful floors don't happen by accident—they're the result of experience, precision, and a team that takes pride in every step of the process.

Long before the final plank is installed, we're carefully measuring, preparing the space, and making sure every detail is just right. From expert craftsmanship to the final walkthrough, we never cut corners because your home deserves our very best.

The result? Flooring that's not only beautiful on day one, but built to stand the test of time.

At Macadam Floor & Design, quality isn't just something you see...
It's something you feel every time you walk through your front door.

✨ Flat Lay Friday ✨

Warm tones, natural textures, and just the right amount of contrast. 🤎

This week's flat lay is all about creating a space that feels warm, organic, and elevated. From the geometric terracotta-inspired tile and natural wood tones to the soft carpet, stone, and subtle green accents, these materials bring plenty of texture and personality without competing with one another.

And that pop of greenery? The perfect finishing touch. 🌿

This is why we love the design process—seeing individual materials come together and suddenly become a space.

💬 What catches your eye first in this combination—the tile, wood, stone, or texture?

Ready to start putting together the look for your next project? Let the design team at Macadam Floor & Design help you find the perfect mix.
