Yesterday's event with Surface Creations of Maine was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow industry professionals and designers to discuss what it really takes to bring complex projects to life. We were especially proud that our very own Katie Capozza was invited to join the panel, sharing insights on the role thoughtful tile selection, planning, and collaboration play in successful projects.
Through real-world bathroom, fireplace, and kitchen case studies, the panel explored the importance of communication, coordination, and early planning between trades.
One message stood out above all: when designers, contractors, and specialty trades work together from the start, projects run smoother and clients benefit.
We also had the chance to get a little creative with a tile coloring activity featuring handcrafted designs from Pratt + Larson Ceramics. It was a huge hit with attendees and just as much fun for us to host. Seeing everyone put their own spin on the tiles was a great reminder that design is at its best when creativity and collaboration come together.
