Been awhile since I’ve had one of these, and usually I come across the more plentiful bamboo/bone sets. This is a fantastic earlier c. 1930s cased Mahjong set w/ 144 Bakelite (plus 10 extras) tiles, & 4 Deep red swirl Bakelite trays.
One 5 bamboo tile has an old stand in with old pink paint over a 5 flower tile and 1 circle tile also has a stand in.
One of the bonus flower tiles is blank and there are a handful of other tiles that don’t appear original to this set but were with it.
Faux alligator papered wood case w/ two internal trays to hold the tiles and a box that held the dice and extras.
No counter coins- but easily replaced if needed, along with finding original tiles to replace the modified ones If you wish. I personally love the stand ins as they speak to this set having a rich life of love and use.
