Last toot-toot: Even though I closed 13 Design Lane Interiors at the end of the year, I won Best of Houzz 2023 for work done in 2022! As a former legal assistant who went back to school in a totally unrelated field, I set my mind to become an interior designer, achieved it and then won Best of Houzz 8 years running! Slightly more than 3% of Houzz’s 2.7 million active home professionals win Best of Houzz awards each year and I'm one of these, thanks in large part to those who wrote wonderful reviews! Thank you, thank you, thank you! XO

Wednesday's Wonderful World of Wallcoverings - Post 73: Check out this cozy bedroom where peel-and-stick wallpaper has been used on one of the walls, which makes more of an impact than papering all the walls. Shown is Feather Flock in Golden Hour by Tempaper. Even though my 'doors are closed', I'm still available to help anyone who may be interested in this or other wallcoverings.

As some of you may know, I've made the bittersweet (chocolate) decision to close the doors and draperies on my business at the end of the year. It's been a great 10 year ride and I'm proud (toot-toot) of what I accomplished going back to school to get my certification in custom interior design at the age of 54! My decision is two-fold: 1) From the get-go, I told myself I'd give this business 10 years and we're there and, 2) For health reasons.

I'll still have a presence on this FB business page -- you can't get rid of me that easily -- and will still do the Wednesday's Wonderful World of Wallcoverings posts, etc. Last, I'll be available for smaller projects so don't hesitate to ask.

Wednesday's Wonderful World of Wallcoverings - Post 70: Y'all know I'm crazy about wallcoverings (and dogs!), otherwise why would I do this post? Shown is a peel-and-stick wallpaper by Tempaper in Pastel Palm, Malibu Blue. Unfortunately, I don't know this doggie's name so we'll call him/her Barfoos, a dog from my past.

Wednesday's Wonderful World of Wallcoverings - Post 69: Okay so it's not Wednesday but if I waited until then, Halloween would be a thing of the past (boo!) and this was too good not to share. Shown is Pixel Diamonds by Walls Need Love, one of the best names for a company I've ever heard! Check out how precise the wallpaper installer was in matching up the diamond patterns as best they could, which is super hard to do.
