Some of our favorite terrariums 🌿

Moss, patterned leaves, decorative mushrooms and a tiny green door. Each one has its own character.

Which is your favorite?

Two terrariums, two very different looks

Here’s Part 2 of our terrarium kit build at Roosevelt’s Terrariums. This time, we’re putting together the larger glass terrarium, adding plants, stones and the little details that give it character. Which finished terrarium is your favorite?

Today we're turning this light bulb into a mini terrarium. It is one of two terrariums we are building with our new kits.

Bulleit rye wh***ey bottle terrarium. Did I ever plant in a very minimal terrarium. Wh***ey bottles for some of our favorites because of how unique the form factor is they can be hard to plant because of a narrow opening which limits how much you can do with them.

Clocking out for the weekend? Your terrarium never does. 🌿

While you kick back, that little ecosystem on your shelf is quietly running its own water cycle — sipping, misting, and recycling its own air with zero supervision. Basically the hardest-working houseguest you'll ever have (and it never raids the fridge).

Want one pulling the weekend shift for you? Come plant your own self-sustaining world in class, then let it do its thing for decades — guaranteed. 💚

It's midweek. You've got three meetings, a full inbox, and a lunch you'll probably eat standing up.

Meanwhile, on someone's windowsill, a terrarium is having a perfectly lovely day. 🌿

No deadlines. No notifications. Just a closed glass world quietly running its own rainforest — pulling water up through its roots, breathing it out through its leaves, letting it gather on the glass and rain right back down. Same water, over and over, for years. It makes its own weather while you're stuck in a spreadsheet.

There's something comforting about that. A whole ecosystem that asks for nothing, keeps its own balance, and just… thrives. (Honestly, we could all take notes.)

Come build one of your own — a calm corner of green that keeps doing its thing long after this hectic week is forgotten. No experience needed, and every planting is backed by our No-Fault Lifetime Warranty. We won't let yours fail.

Book your seat whenever you're ready to slow down for a couple of hours 👇

An old Maker's Mark bottle turned into a tiny living landscape. Planted with tropical greenery and moss, it's a simple, one-of-a-kind terrarium with a little bit of character built in. Handmade at Roosevelt's Terrariums in Portland.

One weekend left. 🌿

Before the alarm clocks and permission slips take over, squeeze in one more adventure the whole family will actually remember. Come build your own self-contained rainforest that recycles its own water and air and thrives for decades to come. (Think of it as the science project that never ends up in the recycling bin.)

Kids welcome — Grab 3 or more people and use code 4ORMORE for 50% off each seat. BYOB for the grown-ups. ✨

Classes running all weekend (but seats go fast this time of year! 😉)
