When you come across my wedding decor, you’ve probably heard me talk a lot about photo backdrops. But what exactly is a photo backdrop, and why is it such a big deal in Asian weddings?

Think of it as a giant portrait backdrop — basically a much bigger version of what you’d use for a traditional portrait.

But there’s a reason we make them so big. 😆

We Asians have BIG families, and we love keeping our families close. ❤️

A wedding photo backdrop gives you a beautiful space where you can take photos with your parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, friends, and all the people who came to celebrate with you — sometimes up to 15 people in one photo!

And honestly, one of my favorite things about Asian weddings is that we don’t just take photos for ourselves. We want to capture every single guest who came to celebrate with us and send those photos back to them as a little piece of the memory they can keep.

So whether you’re having a wedding of 300 people or an intimate celebration with just your closest family…

A photo backdrop is an absolute must-have for an Asian wedding. ✨

One of the most highly requested setups since August. 🤍

A bold color pairing, softened perfectly by the elegance of lotus blooms—bringing together culture and a modern, luxurious feel.

I personally love this setup so much, I wouldn’t mind doing it over and over again. And if you’ve been following my work, you probably know I rarely repeat a design. My ego is simply too high 😂—and no profit is worth making my clients’ weddings look the same.
