In this industry, we help folks turn their physical surroundings into spaces that inspire them, spaces that hold and comfort them, spaces designed to complement their lives and reflect back a part of who they are. Often times, our homes reflect years of building families and careers. They reflect our culture and ancestral heritage. Above all though, our homes should make us feel safe and secure. Likewise, our communities should make us feel safe and secure. What is happening now across our country is a gross violation of our collective safety and security. My studio will be closed Friday in solidarity with countless other small businesses and neighbors in the northeast and across the country. I stand with our immigrant neighbors/friends/colleagues/parents, and believe there’s no better way to collectively thrive than coming together from different backgrounds.
