Good morning Marketeers !

Facebook has asked us to change the name of our Farmers' Market to another name entirely.

Please share, comment, like and follow our new page.

There are Soooooo many "Trinity Farmers' Market(s)" in Facebook Land; that we simply had to engineer a brand new page.

Our new name is:

"Eagle Bluff Poteau Farmers' Market".

Our opening day is still May 4th, 2024.

Our hours remain the same; each Saturday 8 AM to 12 PM.

May through September.

Location and Market Management remains the same as well.

33335 Eagle Bluff Blvd. Poteau, OK 74953.

(Trinity RV Park, South of town).

Please feel free to message us on our new page with any questions or concerns.

IMPORTANT!!!

Facebook will deactivate this "Trinity Farmers' Market" account soon.

We sure don't want you to miss out on this market!

Attn Vendors:

Those that have applied and paid your $5 application fee...

You are good. No need to reapply.

A vendor application will be posted soon.

Still free to set up as vendors with approved application.

All vendors are required to have a canopy tent, tables and chairs.

We need visual consistency for our shoppers !

If you need to rent those items, our market office will have rentals available.

$10 for canopy and $5 for tables and chairs.

Thank you for your support!

Attention Prospective Vendors:

Here's the Farmers' Market Vendor Application.

Cash app, PayPal and Facebook Messenger Pay is acceptable.

We need a head count now to start assigning seating.

Spots are filling up.

Please complete the $5 application and email or message it back to me.

This is a first come, first come basis.

Those that have already applied and paid are good to go.

Since I will be renting out Canopies tables and chairs, it's very important to collect the $5; to help us reinvest back into the market.

This small amount will help purchase canopies and pay for advertising.

I've been contracted in the past to my own booth, with the Choctaw EBT/voucher Program.

We are applying for that again.

We will also apply for the standard Oklahoma Snap Food Stamp EBT benefits.

However, these machines since we are a "for profit" market we are required to pay for the card machine.

Those can run about $1,500.

So, even if you are friends and family, I need you to go head and pay and apply.

It's critical I receive all applications no later than Wednesday, April 15th!

The longer the wait the farther your tent will be in the vendor arrangement.

We want everyone drawned to your booth first.

I prefer to set market up in a "U" formation.

(Example being 5-10 vendors in a horizontal line with VIP spots. Then the remaining vendors will be followed down each left and right side.)

Market office will be dead center, then my "Brother-in law-Holler-Farms Booth next to that.

I will be manning two booths, so that layout is critical.

For those of you that are crafters : You will be between each food vendor.

Example being, Angus Grass Feed Beef, then wreaths and home decor, then a veggie and fruit vendor.

This will keep shoppers interested and prevent the "drive bys".

These always tend to happen.

It's a waste of everyone's time.

They don't want to get out of the car; and rather glance and move on down the road.

People on the HWY will notice this and never even stop by our market.

Also, for those bringing, breads, pies, cakes etc. You are allowed to sell your products due to the Home bakers act.

There are foods that are prohibited...

This state law is through the health department and the OSU Extension Department.

I'll include a link here.

If it was my choice, I would approve everyone.

But,that's not how Oklahoma works.

Also, sales tax must be collected each day for the items you sell.

The easiest way to do this is to include the tax amount as part of the selling price.

And round it to the dollar.

Oklahoma Taz Commission will show up at any time and they can give us a formal letter of non compliance.

So, 10% being sales tax, then sell something for $11.

Raise your price a dollar so it is not hurting you.

Then I will come around every day and have you complete the short form and add your cash or check payment to OTC.

Those will be mailed each week.

Please note and prepare for the ok health department to visit with a clipboard as well.

They will be looking at food safety. (Example being selling cheese or raw milk from dairy cows, or eggs at room temperature. Meat freezers must be provided by you.

Limited Electricity will be available.

A vendor market meeting will be held at Poteau Library this Saturday at 2 PM.

If you cannot make it, we can include you in teams or video chat via Facebook.

I'll collect paper apps and any $5 application fees there for those that don't want to pay online.

Don't miss your chance to reserve your spot.

Again, free set up and free booth rent.
