Riggs Farm & Canning

Riggs Farm & Canning Making jelly & pickles is a hobby my husband & I do together. We use Ark homegrown produce & fruit whenever possible.

Bread making has become one one my favorite things to do. Transforming a few simple ingredients into a tasty treat, its just amazing.

Travis and I will be set up tomorrow from 8 to 12 at the Atkins Community Market. Travis and I have pickles. We also made watermelon jelly, wild blackberry, and a few jars of super, super hot pickles. We made them with Carolina Reapers. 😬 Definitely not for the faint of heart. I will also have some baked goods and gluten free no bake cookies.

Travis and I make it a point to produce an unconventional jelly each year. Our past creations include honeysuckle, mimosa bloom, Mountain Dew, and sumac. We decided on watermelon for this year's off-the-wall jelly, and I can say it will be a staple every year. It's so good and it has the prettiest color. Weather permitting, we will be set up Saturday at the Atkins Community Market from 8 to 12. We will have lots of jelly and jams for sale, along with some baked goods.

Art walk is tonight in downtown Russellville, 6-9 pm. I have been baking all day. Come visit Travis and me tonight. I have some baked goods and lots of jelly and jam. We do have pickles! We had enough cucumbers to pickle twice this week. We even made some super hot ones with Carolina Reaper peppers. 🔥

I'm excited, tomorrow is the first Atkins Community Market of the year. Travis and I will be set up and ready to see everyone. There are new vendors this year, and lots of goodies to choose from. Come out and support some local farms and businesses. The market is from 8-12, located on Hwy 64 in Atkins. We have some jelly, jam, and baked goods ready for tomorrow. I made some sourdough pretzel bites, sourdough ciabatta, milk bread, and jalapeño cheddar bagels. Travis and I buy local fruit for all of our jelly and jam. We buy it in season and freeze extra so we can make it year-round. Our blackberry jelly (no seeds) is so good. We also recently made white and regular peach jam. Those peaches we bought last season at Peach Picking Paradise in Clarksville. We're sad they took such a hit on the crop this year due to the late freeze.
