Bring pictures.

Seriously. Take a photo of the whole wall, not just the fireplace. If you have measurements, bring those too. Paint colors, flooring, cabinet samples, inspiration photos, and we'll look at all of it.

The more we know about the room, the easier it is to help you figure out what will work.

And don't worry if you don't have everything figured out yet. That's what we're here for.

We carry a lot of fireplace brands.

There's a reason.

The fireplace we'd recommend for a new contemporary home in the Catskills probably isn't the same one we'd put in a traditional home in Westchester. Add commercial projects, renovations, outdoor spaces and historic homes to the mix, and you need options.

That's why we work with manufacturers like Heat & Glo, DaVinci, Flare, SÓLAS, Majestic, Napoleon, Heatilator, Isokern and Camina Schmid.

Not every new home needs a linear fireplace.

We still put plenty of traditional fireplaces into beautiful new homes throughout the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.

The difference is in the details. A larger viewing area, better proportions, updated controls and a surround that works with the architecture can make a traditional fireplace feel completely at home in a new build.

The Majestic Meridian is a great example.

Classic doesn't have to mean dated.

Beacon has changed a lot over the years, and it's been pretty incredible watching what's happening there.

We supplied the fireplaces for the new Mirbeau Inn & Spa Beacon, just across the river from our home base in Poughkeepsie.

Residential or commercial, the job is really pretty similar on our end: figure out what the space needs, get the details right, and make sure the fireplace feels like it belongs there.

Not every fireplace project around here is going into a huge new build.

We work on plenty of smaller homes, apartments and renovations where every square foot matters.

That's where a fireplace like the SÓLAS TWENTY6 gets interesting. It's wall-mounted, direct vent and doesn't need a massive fireplace wall built around it.

A lot of fireplace design comes down to working with the house you've actually got.

And around the Hudson Valley, we've got just about every kind.

We work throughout the Hudson Valley, Catskills, Westchester and into Connecticut, so there really isn't one "look" we see around here.

Old stone homes. New contemporary builds. Weekend houses in the mountains. Traditional Colonials. Big open great rooms.

A lot has changed since our family got into this business in 1929.

The fireplaces certainly have.

We've gone from an industry built around traditional masonry and wood fire to gas, electric, linear fireplaces, smart controls and designs that would have been hard to imagine a few generations ago.

We've changed right along with it.

What hasn't changed much is how we do business. Answer the phone. Know what you're talking about. Do good work. Take care of people after the job is done.

Electric fireplaces used to be the option you chose when you couldn't have anything else.

That's changed quite a bit.

The flames are better. The installations are cleaner. And without venting or a gas line to work around, designers have a lot more freedom with where the fireplace can go.

Bedrooms. Apartments. Offices. Restaurants. Renovations where adding venting would turn into an entire project of its own.

We work with gas, wood AND electric because the right answer depends on the room.
