The Sunflower Stand started when a friend sent me a post of this double enamel sink and said I think you need this! The brand stamp on the front of the sink base confirmed that- ‘Geneva.’ This was my Grandma’s name and our first granddaughter’s name. Rather than a farmstand, the sink became a Sunflower Stand, as the sunflower field was blooming and this was the perfect spot to share them. It held bouquets of flowers, along with a basket of sourdough breads, cookies, and jams. Spreading love and joy, one bouquet or loaf at a time.
Tomorrow, Friday, June 12, the Sunflower Stand will be open on a self-serve basis from 7 AM until sold out or dark, with an assortment of breads, cookies, jams, and goodies. (Sunflower bouquets will be available when in bloom late summer). It is located outside the shop of Rural Farmstead, 3 miles west Prairie Farm on Highway A.
