Guys, I have been TERRIBLY quiet lately. I decided to take summer off of markets because it is HOT, and I can not handle it 😅

I've been in a bit of a creative slump latel, so I haven't had much art to share.

Also, I have decided to stop my cancer treatments and go back to work. I'm currently NED and I miss my old consulting gig so much. But naturally, that will give me less time to work on art.

Finally finished this rooster!

This one has a lot of fun texture between the various embroidery stitches and the needle felting.

I've been in such an embroidery rutt lately so this one took some effort to finish. But here he is! Ready for the this weekend.

Now to figure out what to create next 🤔

8 years ago today, I lost my mum to colon cancer, and life hasn't been the same since. She is missed constantly.

Colon cancer awareness is a cause close to my heart, not only because of my mum, but because 3 years ago I was also diagnosed with colon cancer.

To honor my mum today, 25% of all sales will go to , a charity that does great work supporting cancer patients and raising awareness.

If you are 45+, please make sure to get a colonoscopy and get screened for colon cancer. If you are under 45 but have a family history, see a genetic counselor and learn if you should also be regularly screened. I was 29 when I was diagnosed and could have caught it earlier with screening.

THIS FRIDAY!

Have you ever wanted to learn embroidery? This Friday I'm hosting a class in partnership with where we'll be making this cute monogram hoop. I'll teach you 5 essential embroidery stitches as you create your own hoop (each design will be customized to the letter you want).

I've not been feeling great lately. My cancer treatments (immunotherapy) make me insanely tired, and it has had an impact on my creativity. I did manage to paint this morning, though. Check out this moody lake watercolor.
